Dribbble Prospect, Wishing To Become A Player!

»Posted by on Nov 24, 2011 in General, Personal | 6 comments

I saw the dribbble logo in designer’s pages many many times but I never took the time to learn more about dribbble although I always felt curious about it. Some days ago I finally visited the dribbble website to see what that beautiful logo was about and I loved it!

Is some sort of a twitter for designers and Illustrators. You can post shots that are screenshots of 400×300 pixels maximum to show what you are working on at the moment. As they explain on their page shots are to dribbble as tweets are to twitter. Isn’t that great?

My 404 Error Page

»Posted by on Jul 18, 2011 in General, Inspiration, Personal, Web Design | 0 comments

Surely you are already familiar with 404 error pages. If you are not, an error page (usually called 404 or not found) is a page that doesn’t exist. Any moved linked, broken linked or mistyped url can take us to a not found 404 page.
By default error messages are not very helpful. They only tell us that the page was not found.

The good thing is that we can customize our own error page to give solutions and options to our visitors. If servers can usually be configured to display your own customized error page, shouldn’t we take advantage of this benefit?

Music + Wallpapers

Music plays a very important role in my daily life, as I guess it does in the life of all of you. The best way I get inspiration while I’m working is by listening to the music I like. There are also some occasions in which I need to design in total silence, but most of the times when I get to disconnect myself from the world and connect with the project I’m working on, music is playing in the background. In those moments my mind is concentrated in the design in which I’m working on and is usually when I get the best ideas.

What To Expect From My Blog

»Posted by on Apr 28, 2011 in General, Personal | 0 comments

The idea for this blog came to me thanks to a friend that encouraged me to have a blog. At the beginning I thought about it as a very far idea but little by little I found myself turning that idea into something real. And now, a few months later here I have my first blog. I hope that the contents will keep growing in the same way, step by step.

One of the things that most fascinates me about the web is the good predisposition that almost every user of this virtual world has for sharing not only their own knowledge but also those that they incorporate thanks to tutorials made by others with the same concerns. About almost every topic that you want to learn something about you can find a tutorial out there. That is amazing! The possibility of sharing all those things that we learn with others and continue learning day by day thanks to others that do the same thing. That way everybody grows and adds new tools and knowledges.

In this blog I will be distributing freebies, commenting on different subjects and adding all those tricks and lessons that I learn day by day with every new project I take. Surely other subjects will come up along the way. If there are any other topics that you would like to read here please let me know.

Thank you very much for reading me and let’s get started with this blog! : )

Finally, My First Post!

»Posted by on Apr 28, 2011 in General, Personal | 0 comments

This is the first post of my website. Yes, finally my site is online. It’s been a busy few months sharing time between work and the design of mi website. During this process I decided to include a blog, which delayed even more the launching.

The whole site was built using Photoshop, Dreamweaver for the HTML/CSS and a lot of dedication. Illustrator had also a small participation in the design. The blog is all Photoshop + WordPress. The main typography I used is Lobster, designed by Pablo Imparilli, which you can find here. Thanks to the use of Cufón I was able to use the same typography for this blog.
